Investment and operating costs
The investment in a SPRAYPARK is composed of three cost blocks:
a) Ground,
b) Water Treatment, and
c) PLAY and SPRAY ATTRACTIONS combined.
The base slab typically consists of a waterproof reinforced concrete slab suitable for swimming pool water. The embedded parts required for anchoring the FLOORSPRAY and PLAY and SPRAY ATTRACTIONS are set into this slab.
The surface of the SPRAYPARK floor must be slip-resistant and suitable for chlorinated swimming pool water. The following solutions have been implemented in our SPRAYPARK references to date:
Colored concrete surfaces with a broom finish,
Naturally broken natural stone slabs with irregular edge lengths (so-called polygonal slabs) made of quartzite,
a SAFE PLAY and SPRAY FLOOR from API made of shock-absorbing, soft EPDM material,
Small-sized paving or mosaic floors with a high proportion of joints,
Mastic asphalt in which round-grained rock chippings are rolled.
The water volume used in the SPRAYPARK is generally treated hygienically using a closed-loop water treatment system with a reservoir, in accordance with national regulations (in Germany: 19643, as of 06/2023).
Only rarely do our customers have the option of drawing clean water from a bathing lake for the operation of their SPRAYPARK.
The water costs essentially consist of
The replacement of evaporated water, including a very small amount of drag loss due to swimwear,
Any heating costs incurred for a water temperature of refreshing 26° to warming 32°C, as well as for
The chemical costs of the water treatment plant.
There is no risk of drowning when operating the SPRAYPARK.
This eliminates the need for professional lifeguard supervision, which is the decisive cost factor in a swimming pool/water park.
